Description

The feeling of being high upon a mountainside and looking into the downward distance of a port - of being far away & out of reach - is prevalent in this work; the stormy skies of the previous Summer had gone and although slightly cloudy, all was calmer - a lot calmer - than previous paintings. I’d gone as far as I could ‘under’ - time to face the whole event ahead and give legal closure to another part of an unexpected & tragic saga.
