Description

Completed in early August and titled after a friend of mine asked myself to mail the image to her, which I duly did; the clue that something was going on was in the cloud opening up, which I had painted before in a previous body of work, and which also appeared to be a portent - not of doom, but of change. I do remember that it was painted just after I’d noticed a sudden change in my neighbour’s behaviour, a change that I didn’t recognise nor understand.
